Also known as Cerberus, Hellhounds are the undead incarnations of animals who died via abuse. They are introduced in the Zombie Kingz mission Follow the Hounds, though they are used by all major factions in the game.

Hellhound

Hellhounds have a much better sense of hearing than other undead, able to hear gunshots and alerted undead from several rooms away. However, hellhounds can't open doors, meaning they're easy to flank. Hellhounds run at the player when alerted, quickly killing him in one hit on contact. The Hellhound can take two shots (it doesn't matter where) and 13 punches. The hellhound doesn't flinch when it takes damage, meaning they can easily close the gap between themselves and the reaper, before quickly killing them.

Trivia

  • The alternative name for the Hellhound, Cerberus, is a reference to the beast of the same name in Greek mythology, a three headed dog who guards the gates of the underworld.
  • It seems that there was an alternative version of the Hellhound1, it had bigger eyes and ears, as well as heads and overall it looked stronger, wearing a strong resemblance to a Doberman.
