The Hammer is a common melee weapon in Deadbolt. It can be frequently found in levels and is also obtainable by buying one from Charon for the price of 20 souls.
Like the knife, the Hammer can be used both as a melee weapon for use in close combat. In addition to that, the Hammer can be thrown to take care of far away enemies. As a projectile, it travels slower than the knife and loses more height while flying, but it can be retrieved more often, since it can't get stuck. In melee it does not strike as quickly as the knife, but does more damage over all, letting it kill some enemies the knife cannot, such as the Bouncers.
